Nate Hagens on his www.TheGreatSimplification.com podcast explores the conditions that could define if a technology, such as AI, is NOT in Service to Life. They are Anthropocentricity, Reductionist reason, Simple life models, Near term thinking, Terrestrial ecosystems only, Exoplanetary priorities, Precipitating Species extinctions, Enabling Global Extinction threats, Belief that we are de facto in service of life, and Growing the Superorganism.

He also clarifies that many useful and necessary projects and organizations are carrying a mission in 'service to life' but that is a lower threshold than Service to LIFE. The distinction is that LIFE is understood through a frame of deep time, millenia.
