Agreed. When a country can guarantee the safe disposal of nuclear waste, without possibility of leaks, for at least 100,000 years, then they can build a power plant. The question never has been, which country should have nuclear weapons. The question is, should any country have them? That answer is no. "Conventional" weapons are bad enough, and basically immoral. Bill Gates is wrong. Small modular reactors are not a solution. Trees (and biochar) are. And there are more good answers to our dilemma, all of them involving healthy ecosystems and high soil organic matter. We had better implement these answers now or we won't have much of a planet to save. Keep pushing us Albert.

Yes! “Unplug Them” should become our campaign slogan from now on. Revoke the charters of corporations every three years obliging them to prove their social utility and start unplugging the wasteful data centers. Revoke and Unplug!!
